Last week we kicked off the 100 Acts of Kindness Project with our first challenge by Megan of Coffee Cups & Crayons. This week we received our second kindness challenge (issued by Kim from The Educators' Spin On It)!
Today Mari from Inspired by Family Magazine is sharing a post filled with gift ideas for neighbors!! I love doing kind things for my neighbors... but I usually only give baked treats, so I am excited to see what other gift ideas Mari is sharing with us!

Do you do kind things for your neighbors? Do they do kind things for you?
I am constantly in debt to the amazing ladies that live on my street. They have hosted baby showers for me when I had new babies, brought dinner over and had us to their houses for dinner, invited my kids over to play, taken out our trash while we've been on vacation, and surprised me with treats again and again. The main gift they have given me is their friendship!! I have spent hours and hours outside watching our kids play together in the cul-de-sac while we chat. I've loved every minute of it!
Here are some of the things our neighbors have done for us...
Last year we "heart attacked" all of the bedroom doors of the kids in the cul-de-sac and then one of families came and "heart attacked" our kids. It was awesome!
My neighbors have almost single handedly clothed my daughter for the past two years with all of the hand me downs they have given her!
My neighbor Kara was our 3am phone call when I went into labor with my daughter. She even found my son's "big brother" t-shirt in his drawer and made sure he looked all spiffy for his hospital visit to meet his new sister.
My neighbor Sahar is always inviting us over for lunch. She makes yummy food, forces me to sit down and eat it, and then asks me questions about my life. She is so sweet!
My neighbors Stefanie & Kara are my chocolate suppliers. They are constantly dropping off treats or new finds from Trader Joes.
Don't you wish you lived in my cul-de-sac too? I never want to leave! Those are just a few of the kind ways that my neighbors have served us.
What is something kind you want to do for your neighbors?

Reminders:
My Usborne Reader is giving away two awesome book packages to two Toddler Approved readers as part of our Kindness Project. Head over to our Usborne Books Giveaway post to enter!
I'm also sharing a sweet prize package when you sign up for BabbaCo's newsletter... which is filled with fun craft ideas, parenting tips, and kid friendly recipes... so make sure to stop by! I also shared a fun post yesterday with some ideas for beating winter boredom and the indoor blues.
Your neighborhood sounds wonderful! We are hoping to surprise our neighbors with a few "heart attacks " at their front doors very soon and leave a little craft box there for the kids to create with. We hardly ever use up all those foam pieces in one season so we thought we'd share.
What a great idea of gifts for neighbors and I like that it's ok to purchase since I don't always have time to bake something but that seems to be the norm for neighbor gifts.
