How to get started with this simple Feather Hunt Thanksgiving game:
First, tape some paper on the wall, floor, or a table.
Then, draw a turkey on the paper. Color in the turkey's body and just draw outlines for the feathers.
Use a different color marker as you outline each feather.
Next, cut out feathers to match the feather outlines.
Now you're ready to hide the feathers and then have your kids match them to the turkey!
**Put some painters tape on the feathers or on the paper so that kids can quickly attach the feathers to the turkey as they hunt.
PS- You can also try matching real feathers and add in some counting like Fun Learning for Kids did.
Hunts like this are a great activity for multi-aged groups of kids. They are easy to adapt to different ages/stages as well!
Have you tried a hunt with your kids before? If not, put this on your list soon! You can adapt it for any theme that your kids are interested in.
