We are in Week 2 of the 100 Acts of Kindness Challenge and this week we are sharing all about ways that we can be kind within our communities.
Megan from Coffee Cups & Crayons is sharing an adorable way that she and her kids thanked the garbage men that come to their house. Head on over and check out her Community Helper Thank You Act of Kindness.
There are so many awesome people in our community and neighborhood that make an impact on us. My kids especially love our mailman and the FedEx man since they bring us packages and are probably more important than Santa Claus around here.
We started off the week by decorating our mailbox to say thank you to our mailman!
The kids had a lot of fun using some new stamps that we got from the Target dollar spot and thought it was cool to sneak outside and decorate the mailbox before the mailman came.
I also work with the teenage girls at church and my kids love them. They relish any opportunity to do something nice for them. Since these particular teenagers are always doing kind things for others, we thought we'd do something nice for them.
Last week my kids helped me shop for and put together Finals spa kits for the girls and then we delivered them last weekend once their school finals were over! The kids also loved sneaking Hersheys kisses from the kits when I wasn't looking.
I am including a link to my free printable Spa kit tag just in case you want to put together a Spa kit for someone you love. This would be a great gift for a teacher, neighbor, or even a friend who needs some extra special pampering.
In our spa kit I included a small cucumber face mask, Dead Sea lavender bath crystals, and chocolates. I found everything at Target! The little baskets are my favorite and they are in the dollar aisle at Target right now.
