I think Halloween is probably my favorite crafting holiday. We've been having way too much fun with Halloween themed crafts and activities! Last week we shared some spider & witch activities and the week before we shared a bunch of pumpkin activities.
This week is all about monsters!! Mess free painting is a favorite around here so we decided to make some mess free monsters!
All week long we'll be sharing simple monster themed activities to get kids moving and creating!
MATERIALS NEEDED FOR MESS FREE MONSTER PAINTING:
- large ziploc bag (gallon size)
- washable paint
- monster template printed out on cardstock
- scissors
- googly eyes
- white glue
DIRECTIONS FOR MESS FREE MONSTER PAINTING
Print off a monster template here or here or make your own. Make sure to print it onto cardstock.
Cut around the template loosely (don't need to cut around hands/feet yet) and then stick the cardstock monster into a ziploc bag.
Add washable paint into the bag and seal the bag shut. Try and get as much air out of the bag as possible.
Move paint around with hands and fingers by touching the outside of the baggie.
Remove the paper after a few minutes and let it dry.
Once dry, cut out the entire monster and add any extra details, like googly eyes!
Now you have a crazy silly monster!
Have you tried mess free (or baggie painting) before?
