You knew this was coming right? I couldn't resist using the seasonal M&M mix as inspiration to produce another "toddler approved" template. This time around, we're using the plain M&M "Spring Mix" to create flowers in preparation for spring!
1 bag of "spring mix" will have enough colors to make about 9 flowers.
Sort candy by color.
Then place colored candy on template to make flowers. I purposely left the flowers a neutral color so that your child can have a choice in how the finished product will look. The stem is a very light green.
Admire, then devour!
I really think this is cute! I was even thinking that you could also apply a dab of frosting to the paper to adhere the m&m and then the kiddos could take it home from daycare and eat it later, reminiscent of the candy dots on the paper…… lol
Lol. Exactly the kind of fine motor skills that my kids excel in.
I love this idea! Thanks so much for sharing! I added it to my blog today and think that we'll be doing this with jelly beans after Easter to work on counting, colors, and patterns.
