We've been traveling and having loads of fun with family and friends. I'm not organized enough to schedule posts for while we're gone... so we'll be back doing fun activities starting tomorrow or Tuesday... depending on how quickly we get unpacked and the house clean.
Anyone have favorite ways to help kids have fun while unpacking, doing laundry, and cleaning? If so, send them my way!
P.S.- the above picture was taken at my niece's birthday party. Plastic swimming pool + multi-sized balls (she had these huge ones and a ton of little ones) = hours and hours of toddler fun. Run and gather your items right now. I promise your little one won't want to leave the backyard all afternoon. If you invite another friend or two you can also work on sharing/compromising skills. 🙂 These balls are too fun to let anyone else have a turn!
oo very fun! I have tons of balls around here. I would never have thought to put them all in an empty pool!
I just found your blog via BBC and have to say that I look forward to your upcoming posts.
As for ideas to help toddlers want to do laundry, my almost three year old loves to help me sort. We talk about lights and darks and whites (that's as far as I go with sorting). She has tried to "help" fold, but that mostly means that I fold it and she unfolds it trying to help.
Toys from a road trip are her responsibility to put away. Usually take a full day since she will want to play with all of them before puting them away (like she didn't just spend x hours stuck in a car with them.)
