I love that this weeks kindness challenge is giving us a reason to make hearts before February! Today we had fun creating ours using the old waxed paper and shaved crayon method.
I couldn't find a pencil sharpener to get crayon shavings, so we improvised with our cheese grater.
We used a heart shaped cookie cutter for our template, cut them out, punched a hole in the top, and strung some ribbon through them. They make the best sun catchers!
My daughter insisted that dad needed to see our hearts before we gave them away - so we strung them all together, and they are hanging in our dining room window. Tomorrow, we are planning on stringing them individually and using them as our giveaway hearts. Did you make or give away yours yet?
these are beautiful!!
