We spent most of today finding different ways to make fireworks using things around our house. Toothpicks were a tool I hadn't used before!
All you need is paint, a palate, paper, and a toothpick (or two).
Simple, easy, and every single one looked different... kind of like actual fireworks.
Toothpicks scored way more cool points from my little guy than straws, foil, saran wrap, popsicle sticks, and clothespins.
What other tools do you like to use to paint fireworks?
i'm not craft minded so i feel stupid asking how you did it? you don't have instructions and everyone else seems to get it. 🙁 do you use them just to make lines? i thought you could roll the tooth pick around and it makes the pattern. I guess it is whatever works better.
Not a stupid question at all. We dipped the toothpicks in different paint colors and printed with them. We used the tips of the toothpicks as well as the sides. We just made one print, then made another one create an x print on top, then printed around and around again and again until it look circular.
This is such a wonderful project! Thank you for sharing this. Awesome and perfect for the kids! I loved the details of this toothpick art. We also did a Washi Tape Flags out of the same materials you used. You should check this out!
