The following post is from our kid's craft contributor EJ:
We're SO excited for the Olympics to start! This week I've been trying to introduce/familiarize my children with the various events the Olympians will be competing in. Charades seemed like the perfect game to play.
I created a set of charade cards with simple pictures of 20 events (sorry if I didn't include your favorite). Before we cut the sheets into cards, we took a look at each of the pictures to identify any events the children did not recognize, and also practiced how we could act out each.
We threw the cards into a basket, took turns choosing a card, then acted it out for the rest to guess. Once we guessed correctly, we would all copy the movement of actor/event together.
Wanna play too? You can download a set of your own Summer Olympic Charade Cards here.
Hi Kristina! I was trying to download your Summer Olympic Charades cards, but unfortunately it is not available any more. Is there any way you can send them to me. We are talking about Rio Olympics with my kids, and I would love to have these cards.
Thank you,
Maria
Great idea to make an Olympic charades game! Thanks for so generously sharing it! I featured your post as the Free Printable of the Day at the Living Montessori Now Facebook page: facebook.com/LivingMontessoriNow
Thank you for this! It was actually on my to-do list to make, and now I've finally gotten to check something off my to-do list!
Awesome! So glad EJ could help you out 🙂
