CONGRATS TO OUR WINNER WHO SAID...
I am emailing you now!
If you've been reading some of my parenting posts lately, then you know that positive parenting has been on my mind a lot!
On Thursday I hosted a little St. Patrick's Day get together with friends. I had a few simple things organized that the kids could do, but mostly the kids played while the moms talked. We were all stir-crazy since it has been raining all week.
How do those sort of events usually work out at your house?
At mine they are sometimes an automatic set up for my son who uses every ounce of his being to get my attention negatively... since I'm wrapped up chatting with friends and not paying as much attention to him as usual.
This week I wasn't at my finest and I think I spent half the get together pointing out each thing my son wasn't supposed to be doing. I said a lot of "don't do that" and "no" instead of focusing on all of positive things I wanted him to be doing instead. Ugh! It was not my best day and I felt terrible.
Can I tell you what cheered me up a bit? The reminder that Amanda Morgan (blogger over at Not Just Cute) is starting her Parenting with Positive Guidance: Building Discipline from the Inside Out E-course on Tuesday, April 4th!
Amanda is the author of the e-book Parenting with Positive Guidance: Building Discipline from the Inside Out that I have been reading and loving! I need reminders daily to be a positive parent! The Parenting with Positive Guidance e-book gives you the tools for understanding your child's behavior and effectively teaching and guiding your child toward increased self-control while fostering a healthy parent-child relationship.
The Parenting with Positive Guidance: Building Discipline from the Inside Out E-course builds on the information in Amanda's e-book and the best part about it is that the course is packaged so that you can watch the videos and learn about being a better parent wearing your pjs and sitting in your own house. Totally my style of parenting class!! Also, if you choose to take the course with your spouse or another supporter/partner, you are eligible for the TEAM discount.
Head on over to the Parenting with Positive Guidance: Building Discipline from the Inside Out E-course to learn more specifics about the course and register.

I would love to learn some effective techniques for handling the everyday behavior that adds stress to my day like tattle-telling, whining, back talk, etc. If I could learn ways to combat these behaviors effectively, I'd definitely be a better and more energized mommy!! Something I know my 2 kiddos would love!

My biggest challenge comes from my three year old who is experiencing some very whiny behavior. It's very challenging, for me anyways, to remain positive as whining is one of my worst trigger points.

One thing I would love to learn is along with learning how I (and DH) can be positive parents, is how to gently spread that message to others who have contact with our daughter. elsiescot at btinternet dot com
biggest challenge at the moment is that our 14month old is still a velcro to mummy 24hours a day, she wakens frequently, and so some days I am very tired and it can get hard trying to get some things done with a LO needing to cling to me. elsiescot at btinternet dot com

I would love to learn how to continue to use positive guidance when I am at the end of my rope! I do fine during most of the day, but when I am tired/sleepy, I am not as positive as I would like to be.

Right now my biggest parenting challenge is finding the energy to do things with my 3-year old, since I am 34 weeks pregnant right now and want to just lie back and nap all day.

I already follow you on Facebook and pinterest. my biggest parenting challenge is to act as role model to my three year old who seems to copy everything that I say, do or act. I hope to learn how to explain good behavior to my daughter without being judgmental. As she does not understand many things that she says. Would love to win this giveaway. Am sharing your post on Facebook too. Thanks
would simply love to learn more about positive guidance!

One thing I am hoping to learn from the course is a positive way to guide my son's behaviors and self-control so that he enjoys kindergarten and follows directions without being defiant.

My biggest challenge as a parent is keeping my son from being bored without teaching him things that are above his age level. When he is bored, he can be very disruptive 🙁

I'd love to have a better, realistic picture of how much to expect from my two year old's behavior. I'm sure I sometimes have unrealistic expectations for her! Sara (dot) Goggin @ gmail (dot) com
Right now my biggest parenting challenge is just that I am exhausted and feel my patience is incredibly low. We've had sickness after sickness for the last few weeks and that plus the normal exhaustion of having a 2 year old and a baby,, I just don't feel like I have the reserves for patience and creative parenting that I'd love to have!

This sounds awesome! I have really enjoyed her ebook and would love the chance to take the class free! Sara (dot) Goggin @ gmail (dot) com
