We're participating in the 30 Days to Hands On Play challenge this month... so we'll occasionally share some of the activities we do on our blog. This morning my little guys were up at the crack of down, so I was excited to see today's challenge....
Day 1: Build a fort
This kept us busy for awhile this morning.
We played Legos in the fort, chased each other around and around, jumped across the top of the fort, had some snacks in there, and then pretended to take naps.
The baby thought this activity was pretty cool too. I never realized how wide I was until I tried to crawl through the fort tunnel in between the couches. Hmm. Not the best way to build my self esteem.
I laughed out loud several times because these two were being so silly together.
Thanks Jamie for the fun idea! I realized today that we hadn't made a fort in over a year. It was great to remedy that today. We can't wait till tomorrow's challenge.
If you're participating in the 30 days to Hands On Play challenge, let me know. We'd love to stop by your blog and check out your forts today!
Hi,
I bet the two of them in there together was absolutely adorable. That's so sweet.
Haha I also managed to bring the whole roof down when shoving my preggers body into our fort! I'll blame the tummy (but pretty sure it was the backside!) Looks like you had SO much fun!
I have never built an indoor fort with my children. I'm collecting my bits at the moment so when we return from a play date we can play in it this afternoon.
I agree with you, fort building does not happen enough in this house! It brought back a lot of memories, I too did not fit as well as the kids 😉
I love your fort, looks like a lot of fun, especially since you have two cuties to keep you company!

That's not an ugly fort! Yours looks better than mine did! Its so great to have reminders for fun ideas like this! We hadn't built one in awhile either! We definitely need to do it more often!
