Today we are announcing the fourth annual 100 Acts of Kindness Challenge!
This year we are so excited to team up with Megan at Coffee Cups & Crayons again to share this special challenge with you.
One thing that brings our family happiness and peace is spreading kindness! Although we like to be kind all year long, during the month of January and February we love to kick off 26 days of kindness!
Our 100 Acts of Kindness Challenge is inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and that is why we are starting it on the day when we honor him. Dr. King encouraged people to show kindness and love. He asked...
"Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?'
During our challenge this month we are going to help teach our kids to look outward and be kind and DO MORE for others in simple ways.
What is the 100 Acts of Kindness Challenge?
Between January 19th and February 14th we invite you to join us and work together with your kids, students, grandkids, or friends, etc. to accomplish 100 Acts of Kindness!
Each day we'll share some ideas with you to help you accomplish this challenge. You can even subscribe to our daily 100 Acts of Kindness newsletter and get a few ideas sent to you via email each day.
Each week we will also issue a special Kindness Challenge for you to try and accomplish that week! These are usually my favorite part of the series.
How can you participate?
1. Comment and let us know that you plan to join in!
2. Subscribe to our newsletter if you want daily updates sent to your email inbox.
3. Decide how you are going to keep track of your 100 acts of kindness. This year we created a simple printable chart if you want to print it off and cross off the numbers or stick a sticker in each box each time you do an act of kindness.

We'll share some other ways we've kept track of our acts of kindness later this week. This Wall-o-love one has been one favorite way to keep track of our acts of kindness.
4. Complete each weekly Kindness challenge! This heart attack challenge is my favorite from a few years ago.
Here's our Week 1 Kindness Challenge
Here's our Week 2 Kindness Challenge
5. Come check in with us each day over on Facebook and tell us some of the kind acts that your kids have done.
6. Plan a special kindness celebration on February 14th once you've completed your 100 acts of kindness and come tell us about it!
7. Follow the hashtag #100actsofkindness on Instagram and check out some of the activities we share over there too. I'm @kristinatoddlerapproved and Megan is a@coffeeandcrayon.

I'm going to give it a go with my 3 year old and think I'm going to try introducing it to him tomorrow morning with a book about kindness that we got out of the library earlier today. Sxx PS Thanks so much for such a lovely idea! 🙂 x

We participated last year and loved the changes and awareness it brought for our family! Can't wait to join you again, thanks for being our kindness muses Kristina and Megan! <3
we have so much to teach our children ( our own or the one's we look after) And as Karen mentions, they don't always 'get it' at first. thanks for a great post, much to think about here……
My daughter is struggling with being a mean girl, and it breaks my heart because we are not a mean family. This 100 Acts of Kindness may soften her heart and create empathy and genuine caring for others. I am going to take up the challenge and we will do it together. Thank you for this great idea and opportunity to change lives, including hers.
