What's an easy paper plate craft for preschoolers?
Kids will love making these simple paper plate suncatchers! This activity can help kids build their fine motor skills and is fun to do all year round!
Materials Needed

- Clear packing tape
- Flower and leaf trimmings
- Hole puncher
- Markers
- Paper Plate
- Scissors
- Twine
- (Optional) Craft trays (These are our favorites)

Instructions
- Cut a circle out of the center of a paper plate
- Have kids decorate the paper plate with colorful markers
- Add strips of clear packing tape to the back of the paper plate, across the center, to create a sticky center.

- Give kids flower and leaf trimmings.
- Encourage kids to snip and rip from the nature trimmings you give them and stick them onto the center of their sticky frame.

- (Optional) Once they have a design on their clear tape, cover their flower art with additional pieces of clear tape to secure the design into place (placing the sticky sides together).
- Hole punch on the top of the paper plate.
- String twine through the hole and knot to create a way to hang your suncatcher.
