This week we are hosting Zoo Week! Zoo Week will feature five days of playful learning activities for kids ages 1-6. Each summer we typically host a Camp Mom and this year we have several fun weekly themes to keep us having a good time together.
My sister just returned from an African safari and my husband just got back from a tour of Brazil's Amazon, so we are having fun learning about animals from all over the world! Many animals from Africa and the Amazon can be found at our local zoo.
Although I'd love to actually take my kids to the Amazon and to Africa, for now the zoo is where we go to see animals that we don't typically see in our community in California.
Each day this next week we'll be sharing a zoo animal themed activity along with a few other favorite activities from blogging friends. You can find ideas here, on my Toddler Approved Facebook page, and on my Going to the Zoo pinterest board.
We haven't done many zoo animal themed activities before, so we are excited for this new theme!
Each day I will also update this post to add the new Zoo Week activities. That way you can find them all in one spot! Make sure to pin this page so that you can find them again.
Monday- Zoo Animal Salt Painting
Tuesday- Panda Bear Puppet Craft
Wednesday- Zoo Animal Peek-a-Boo Board
Thursday- Sticky Tiger Craft for Kids
Friday- Giraffe Spots Number Game
Also, if you're someone that likes to plan ahead, here is our Summer theme schedule for July as of right now! I try and base our summer themes on things that my kids are interested in right now. Hopefully some of your kids will enjoy these themes too.
During my vacation on July 14-18 I'll still be sharing stuff over on our Facebook page, so pop over there for activity ideas! You can also follow along on our vacation over on Instagram.
If you missed last week's Ocean Week, you can find all of our activities on our Ocean Week page. Don't forget to enter our cool PaddlePak backpack giveaway with Trunki US if you haven't yet.
