We’re SO excited for the Olympics to start! This week I’ve been trying to introduce/familiarize my children with the various events the Olympians will be competing in. Charades seemed like the perfect game to play.
I created a set of charade cards with simple pictures of 20 events (sorry if I didn’t include your favorite). Before we cut the sheets into cards, we took a look at each of the pictures to identify any events the children did not recognize, and also practiced how we could act out each.
We threw the cards into a basket, took turns choosing a card, then acted it out for the rest to guess. Once we guessed correctly, we would all copy the movement of actor/event together.
Wanna play too? You can download a set of your own Summer Olympic Charade Cards here.
